Dr. Liam Harte B.D.S. N.U.I.
Principle Dentist
Liam is a native of Timoleague and qualified with a BDS degree from UCC in 2000. After graduating Liam worked for two years in Kent in the UK. Following this Liam broadened his horizons by working in Australia. He gained valuable experience working in private practices in Sydney and Brisbane. On returning home Liam started his own practice, firstly in Innishannon and later in Clonakilty. Liam is a member of the Irish Dental Association and is constantly updating his skills and knowledge and is very committed to continuing professional development so that his patients can receive the most up to date treatments and advice. He also works one morning a week as a clinical demonstrator in the Oral Surgery Dept of Cork Dental Hospital. Liam relishes the challenges provided by all aspects of general dentistry and deal with all categories of patients, young, old, nervous and special needs. Outside of working as a dentist, Liam is a big sports fan and enjoys keeping fit by swimming and cycling, he is married to Emer and they have 3 girls and a boy.
Dr. Irene Cullinane B.D.S. N.U.I. M.J.D.F.
Dentist
Irene is from Clonakilty and graduated as a dentist in 2011 from UCC. She then spent 7 years working in general practice in the UK, in Newcastle and Edinburgh, where she met her husband, Chris. Irene moved back to Cork in 2018.
Her favourite aspect of general practice is building up a relationship with the patients. She enjoys the challenge of managing nervous patients and getting them to a stage where they feel comfortable at the dentist. Irene is a member of the Irish Dental Association and is committed to keeping up to date with advancements in dental treatments and options.
When not at work, Irene enjoys going for walks, taking part in Clonakilty Macra na Feirme activities, and spending time with her husband, son and extended family.
Salina Heany
Dental Hygienist
Salina our hygienist, graduated in Dental Hygiene from University College Cork in 2013. Since then she has gained invaluable experience having worked in a leading specialist multidisciplinary practice in Dublin.
She is passionate about her work and educating patients about good oral hygiene. Salina provides treatments to her patients in a comfortable and caring environment where their care and well being are her main priorities. She believes in giving each patient the individual knowledge and tools they require to achieve and maintain a healthy mouth.
Continual professional development is important to her, she likes to attend lectures and courses to keep up to date with the latest advancements.
Salina is registered with the Irish Dental Council and also a member of the Irish Dental Hygienists Association.
Sinead Deasy
Dental Nurse & Reception
Sinead is from Innishannon and has been working with Liam since 2006. Sinead works mainly in the Innishannon practice and attends the practice in Clonakilty one day a week. She works as a dental nurse but also works at the reception. Sinead is married to Damien and they have two children.
Margaret Hayes
Dental Nurse & Reception
Margaret is a native of Rosscarbery and works as the dental nurse / receptionist in the Clonakilty practice. She has been working for Liam for the past 5 years and in her spare time enjoys walking, reading and spending time with her four adult children.
Catherine Burke
Dental Nurse & Reception
Catherine is a native of Tipperary and has been working for Liam since September 2021. Catherine works between the Innishannon and Clonakilty practice as a dental nurse and receptionist. She has a keen interest in sport and in her spare time enjoys supporting Tipp and Cork in the GAA.
